No matter how you feel personally about this rapidly approaching “date with destiny”, one thing is certain: You will be impacted.
Some of your friends are currently investigating the viability of “survival food and techniques.” Just as many, are chuckling under their breath and thinking smugly, “Damn, here comes some more Y2K-like craziness”.
And some time in the next three years you will find yourself falling into one camp or the other.
To simplify the task, just do the following exercise when you look at the picture at the top of this page: Taking into account everything you have so far heard, read and seen concerning the 2012 predictions: Is this a picture of the desert as it has been for thousands of years, or…is it a picture of Denver, Colorado the day after Dec. 21, 2012??
You may want to start recording your results to that exercise so that you will be instantly aware of how your thinking changes over the interim. The significant date is still over three years in the future.
To a six year old, that’s a really long time. To we sixty+ year olds, not so long. To a several billion year old galaxy it is literally no time at all.
A friendly email showed up yesterday with the following comment: “Accounting for years in the perspective of millennia is just like measuring with a micrometer, marking with a crayon and cutting with a chain saw.”
My current exploration of the 2012 doomsday scenario began with a FREE report that begins by asking the question: WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DECEMBER 21ST, 2012 . CLICK the preceding link and obtain your own copy; especially if you can’t be 100% sure about your DESERT/DENVER picture exercise.
The report is still free..at least thru Sept. 1st. It’ll answer most of your questions; perhaps pose a few more. Either way, you will certainly be more conversant whenever the 2012 topic comes up. And it most certainly will. (If you watch the Discovery Channel at all, you know it has already begun).
Things were pretty quiet back in 1997; but, that all changed once the Y2K abbreviation started showing up.
A relatively minor computer “glitch” nearly caused a major meltdown.
Can you imagine a galactic meltdown? Of course you can’t…no frame of reference.
Try this: Y2K times many billion.
Till next time,
Fred
